About
I am a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Institution and a Lounsbery Research Assistant at the American Philosophical Society. I received a PhD in the History of Science from Princeton University and an MPhil in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge. My work focuses on the interactions among science, governance, and urbanism in the United States between Reconstruction and the 1920s. I am currently working on a book manuscript that is an urban history of science of Washington, D.C., during the long Reconstruction period.
